Ooh, la, la! What an amazing week in Puerto Vallarta. For the first time (I think in our marriage) we didn't come home needing a vacation from our vacation. The entire week was spent lounging and dining and playing. Kandi and I connected so well. We had plenty of space to be reminded of why we love each other so very much. We laughed and played and shared and even met a couple from Chicago named Andre and Sarah. The food was really good and the best part of the resort is that there isn't a ton of stuff to do, which meant we were able to break through that nasty barrier called "boredom" into the exquisite rest and relaxation that we needed. I was blessed to have ample opportunity to speak in Spanish all week (which afforded us a few extra perks!-thanks mom) and Kandi finally had space to read and reflect on life without the regular interruptions of our little angels. Grandpa and Grandma (Dave and Jane) were up to the task of investing in their grandchildren for the week. Charity gave them a two-thumbs up for the many adventures of their week in Az. A special thanks to all of those who prayed for our time away. The entire week was a gift from God.
Special note - For those who know, our return to Puerto Vallarta was a redemptive experience from our first visit for our honeymoon almost 6 years ago. We were blessed to see how much our marriage has grown these past years and very grateful to all those who have been part of the journey.
I love Kandi. I love our family. I love what God has generously bestowed upon us. We are thankful.

We are so blessed to hear that your vacation was so awesome!! It made our time with Charity & Justus that much sweeter. To have wonderful memories of Puerto Vallarta firmly in your hearts seems a fitting reward for braving the "going back." Genuine rest and relaxation is something we all need on a regular basis and you need to do these more freqently than you have been. It's part of God's design. Love to you all, Pops
What a great looking trip. I know you had a lot of fun and it was great that Eric's folks were able to watch the kids. Now that your batteries are charged you can get back to work again.
Love ya,
Daddy D
